Boost Mobile is a phone service company launched in Australia in 2000. The following year, it was introduced in the United States. In 2003, Nextel (now Sprint Nextel) purchased the American division of Boost Mobile, and by the first quarter of 2007, it had four million subscribers.
Through the program Unlimited, Boost Mobile offered unlimited talk for $50 per month, unlimited talk and text for $60, and unlimited talk, text, and wireless web for $70. This service, however, was initially limited to the home calling area of the subscriber. Early this year, Boost Mobile launched Nationwide Unlimited for a flat fee of $50 enabling subscribers to avail of the unlimited talk, text, and wireless web anywhere in the United States.

Boost Mobile Phones run on the CDMA Network of Sprint and iDEN Network of Nextel. Most Nextel-branded iDEN phones and certain Motorola mobile phones are supported by such networks, so these are the phone you should be looking for. Among the more popular Motorola models are: C290, KRZR, W385, i295, i335, i425e, i425t, i776, i776w, and Stature i9.
There are plenty of places where you can find these phones. You will, however, need to exercise prudence when exploring this market. There are unscrupulous sellers out there who give you lemons in exchange for your dollars. Check out not only the unit they are selling, but their own background as well. Be wary of sellers who do not offer a return policy. There is a huge possibility that their units are not in proper working order. Try to buy from established used cell phone sellers. You can visit those that have a bricks-and-mortar store in addition to their online selling to inspect their units.
